How It Works ( 3 Simple Steps )

 

STEP 1:

Send us a copy of you ID or driving license, Your address, email, and the cars vin-number.
If you have AKR number - from a previous export, please provide it to help speed up the process.    If you do not have this AKR number, we will provide it.

STEP 2:

We take care of the registration, liability insurance, and approval with the Danish Tax Agency ( SKAT ).

STEP 3:

Get your valid transit permits/export plates and official documentation so you can legally drive the car across the border.

Plates delivery Options:

  • Dealer Delivery: Delivered directly to your car dealer between 09:00–12:00. 
  • Airport Delivery: Hand-delivered by our driver when use our airport service. 
  • Self-Pickup: Once we provide the permit documents, you can collect the plates       yourself at:     Dekra Hammel, Finlandsvej 14A, 8450 Hammel.
  • By Email:  We send you the documents - and with these documents you find a
    car inspection center yourself and they will print the plates for you. 

 Pricing:

  • Set-up Fee for new customers: €70. This covers the driving permit documents,      insurance, export plates, AKR number, and delivery to the car dealer.
  • Daily Plate Fee: €15 per day for the export plates.
  • Discount: If you already have an AKR number and wish to collect the                            documents and plates yourself, the price will be reduced accordingly.

What is included in the first time set-up fee?

The price covers everything you need: all necessary permits, driving insurance, registration in the Motor Office system, and setup of your AKR Export number for future use. We also handle all the legwork—driving to pick up the physical plates and delivering them directly to the dealer in the Aarhus & Randers area. (request for other places)

 Processing Timelines:

  • Order recieved before 10.00 AM - Documents and plates ready within 24 hours
  • Order received after 10.00 AM - Documents and Plates ready within 48 hours 

        Please note that we are not responsible for any system failures or outages at SKAT (Danish Tax Authorities) that may delay the process.

        Important Information Regarding Plate Processing

        Please note that we are unable to offer same-day service for export plates. Due to significant waiting times at SKAT and the processing schedules of                  plate operators, we cannot guarantee immediate turnaround. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Self-Service: If you already have an AKR number and wish to proceed independently, you are welcome to handle the process yourself via the SKAT online system here 

  • Our Timeline: For orders submitted with all required information before 10.00, we aim for next-day processing.  However, we recommend allowing two business days to account for potential system outages or delays within the authorities.

  • Weekend Hours: Please be aware that the authorities, most plate operators, and dealerships close on Fridays at 12:00  and remain closed through the weekend. Unless you have made a specific prior arrangement for a late pickup, we recommend scheduling your arrival Monday to Thursday.
